Take Control and Build Wealth – Step by Step

Welcome to the April edition of my newsletter! This month, we’re diving into something practical and empowering: the exact steps to make money and build lasting wealth. It’s time to take control of your financial future. Wealth doesn’t happen by accident—it’s a choice, a commitment, and a grind. Let’s break it down.

Step 1: Change Your Attitude Toward Money

Money is like a partner—if you don’t pay attention to it, it’ll walk away. To build wealth, you must first know wealth. That means studying money, speaking its language, and shifting your mindset. Acknowledge this truth: your current attitude might be holding you back. Accept that change is necessary, and you’re already on your way. Wealth starts in your head before it lands in your hands.

Step 2: Separate Your Baskets and Make a Budget

Once your mindset shifts, get organized. Separate your money into different “baskets”—savings, investments, expenses—and create a budget that works for you. Here’s what I do: I invest in a Roth IRA and treat it like my personal bank. As it grows, I can take loans against it without selling my assets. It’s a smart way to keep your money working for you. Start small if you need to, but start now. A budget isn’t a restriction—it’s your roadmap to freedom.

Step 3: Invest in Yourself and Commit to the Grind

Building wealth requires action. Ask yourself: How can I make money? How can I double down? Learn a skill—cut hair, become a trader, take on extra work. Nothing comes easy, and that’s okay. Commit to the grind. Sacrifice the short-term pleasures for long-term gains. Cut expenses ruthlessly—no excuses. When you get paid, pay yourself first by putting money into your investments or savings before anything else.

Step 4: Say No and Simplify

Wealth isn’t about keeping up appearances. Say no to people, eat at home, and find peace with what you already have. You don’t need a vacation or the latest gadget. Focus on paying off debt—consolidate it if you can—and make sacrifices that align with your goals. Every “no” today is a “yes” to your future.

Step 5: Stay Disciplined and Evolve

This isn’t a one-time fix—it’s a lifestyle. Wealth grows when you stay consistent. Keep learning, keep adjusting, and keep pushing forward. The sacrifices you make now will evolve into opportunities later. You’re not just building money—you’re building power, security, and control over your life.

Final Thought: It’s Time to Take Charge

Money doesn’t care about your feelings, but it responds to your actions. Change your attitude, budget wisely, invest in yourself, simplify your life, and stay disciplined. That’s the formula. It’s not glamorous, but it works. This April, let’s commit to the grind and take control of our wealth—together.
